Aussie dad’s decision to have children at home is costing him his job

Aussie father James Farrell has decided to have his children at his home for the first time.

Mr Farrell said he was not sure he would return to work after having two children, but said he would be glad to.

“I’ve been a very busy dad for two years now and my wife and I are doing the best we can with what we have and I think it would be lovely to return to the office and just go to the kitchen and bake,” he said.

Mr Pearce said the stress of the job had also taken its toll on the family.

“We are going through this very hard time of having two young kids and a stressful job, we are all just trying to cope and we need to, we need a little bit of time off,” he told ABC Radio.

“So we’ve had to put our family through a lot of difficult times in the last few months, so we’re not sure if it’s a good time for me to return.”

Mr Pearce has worked for the ABC and ABC Radio in Sydney for more than 20 years and is a former reporter and television producer.
